Paul Roadt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor who has been practicing in the Chippewa Valley since 2009.
Paul proudly served in the Marine Corps from 2002-2006 including one tour of duty in Iraq. Upon returning home from Iraq Paul noticed his world view had changed and so had his outlook on life. Through his own experiences and those of his fellow Marines Paul knew there had to be a better way for people to get help when they desire or require a change due to their circumstances or just need support in coping with the road bumps of life.
For over ten years Paul has been working with individuals, couples and families to hear the stories and experiences they have to find creative individualized interventions that is structured to creates an atmosphere for client growth and change to occur. He does this by being an active listener and prioritizing the outcomes identified by clients. What makes Paul successful and different from other providers is his willingness to communicate non-judgmentally with patients by providing constructive feedback when their actions and behavior contradict their self identified goals. Although this can create discomfort, Paul has found this to be effective in facilitating change for the thousands of clients whom he has worked with over the past ten years and uses effective communication skills, appropriate humor and his personality to reduce this discomfort.
Paul has extensive experience working with personality disorders, anger management, behavioral modification, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) and eye movement desensitization and relocation (EMDR).
Paul knows that it can be hard to find the right therapist or the time to be able to see that therapist. For that reason, 22 A Day Counseling willingly offers non-traditional hours upon request to further support clients. Get to know Paul Roadt today by calling 22 A Day Counseling at 715-598-1865
